Benjamin Andrew Stokes was born on 4 June 1991 in Christchurch, New Zealand. He emigrated to England with his parents during his infancy. He is the son of a rugby league player, Gerald Stokes who addressed New Zealand in international rugby leagues. Andrew Stokes’s prowess in cricket from an early age enabled him to become a state cricketer at the age of 18. During that time he played two youth tests against Bangladesh and excelled with the ball and the bat. He also scored a century against India in the 2010 U-19 WC and his maiden half-century against MCC in Abu Dhabi.

Stokes’s reliable exhibitions launch him into public retribution and it was nothing unexpected when he was named in the England ODI. He later broke his finger, allowing his future to shine as a brilliant all-rounder. However, like a godsend, Stokes had to give up the cricket dream due to disciplinary violations due to occasional incidents with Matt Coles, Kent pacer. It was only after his rehabilitation that stokes, who was heartbroken by his irresponsible actions, had the opportunity to return to the sport because of his heroic past. I would like to introduce it as the second birth of Stokes.

Stokes then competed in many cricket tournaments of various formats(ODI, International, T20) and spread the word of his excellence throughout the world. His major weaknesses include quick temper, occasional injuries, and loss of career as well as mental well-being. Stokes was the pioneer in bringing the trophy to England by defeating New Zealand in the 2019 world cup, developing his skills amid all the setbacks. It was the first time in England’s history that Cricket became a World Cup winner. The man of the matchaward went to Stokes.

Ben Stokes is a left-hand batsman and right-arm fast-medium swing bowler who is a prolific all-rounder. Because of all these capabilities, Benjamin Andrew Stokes was named the International Cricket Council’s “Player of the Year” in both 2019 and 2020, the first time an England cricketer has won the title.

So I congratulate the whole world from the bottom of my heart on this great solid player.
