Is *Friendship* a Topic That Can Get *Views* in *Medium*?
I looked at my life through the eyes of friendship.
If I were to ask you how essential it is for a human being to have a best friend to share his life with, you will surely answer that it is a must. But if you would like to admit, I have never met someone I can call my best friend. You would think I was lying.
Friendship is not just about shopping together, eating and drinking, or celebrating happy moments together. I strongly believe that friendship should have all the elements of mutual trust, understanding, and support. Do you have a best friend or group with these qualities? If the answer is “YES” then you are really lucky.
Unfortunately, I have only dark memories of friends in my life. I remember an incident when I was in grade 3. One day my friend and I saw a balloon brought to school by a girl in our class and nailed it with a thorn and left it as it was. Later, as soon as the owner came to class, my friend blamed me, saying that I was the only one who acted. Then I took my friends away from life.
A few more years later, when I was in about grade 7, the school became popular as the brightest student in almost every aspect of learning and extracurricular activities. As a result, I was loved by my teachers and became the envy of my peers. They always marginalized me. Depressed by this, I left that school and entered another school. From then on, I was accustomed to living alone, except in group activities, such as team works. You may sometimes wonder if I am an arrogant person who does not know how to get along with others and does not respect other people’s opinions. But I like to live with others, but I was rejected by all without any guilt.
Many years have passed and I now have a job as a teacher. I work with everyone in the academy with a smile on my face. Sometimes I help to solve other people’s problems. But in my heart, I have not yet met a best friend.
Better a poor horse than no horse at all. Because a best friend can paint life and a mismatched friend can turn life to ashes….
“When you feel like a relationship is holding you back or dragging you under, it is okay to let that friendship go, The beautiful thing about friendships is that they are voluntary relationships — and if you’re no longer finding it worth the investment, you have the option to let the relationship go.”
